Very poor customer service/assistence, the moment I walked into this store and tried to shop for fish, I was immediately hounded and harassed by the employees. I felt as though they didn't want to sell to me as if I was inexperienced with fish keeping/care, little did they know I have owned fish for 7yrs including piranha and cichlids. But I wasn't able to speak long enough to explain that I am in fact an experienced fish keeper because I was interrupted every time I spoke about a fish that I was interested in. Very poor judgment from them they made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't want to stay and continue to be hounded every time I get interested in a fish.

When this business moved into our area I was thrilled to see them come. Prior to their arrival I was driving nearly 2 hours to Tomahawk Wi to purchase the items that I needed for our dogs and outdoor birds etc. We also did a lot of online shopping to fill in the gaps of the items desired. When Lori and her family opened the doors we never had to look back. If they do not have an item, they can make a suggestion of what else could be used or order the item that you wanted. If you have a question or a problem or an even an idea they are there to answer it as best as they can, look up what they may not know, and expand on any idea that you may have. Their store has expanded and now not only do we use them for our pet needs but we purchase gift items, plants, garden and yard items, and even cards and jewelry from them. They are the first place I go when looking for something a little less ordinary. Their pet food selection is vast and priceless and Lori always has the recent listing of any issues with any and all pet food recalls so it seems. Their selection of pet toys, care items, and outdoor items such as leashes and harnesses is simply amazing as well. They take excellent care of our outdoor friends as well as we are avid bird watchers and feed our flying friends as our entire neighborhood enjoys them. Most people that we exchange gifts with purchase our family gifts from this gem of a store be it something for our dogs, cats, or our outdoor "pets" so to speak. This year we even purchased decorative rock to fill in our garden beds where as we used to drive out of town to find the amount of product needed and had to haul and carry our load to the car ourselves. This time around the vast amount I purchased was loaded in the back of my truck before I even finished paying the bill and chitchatting. I love the fact that my dogs come into the store with us and Lori knows them all by name. She speaks kindly to them, even the barkers! Never once have I felt that our little ones were unwelcome guests and I adore the fact that they have a mascot cat on site as well! We recently had to let one of our dogs move on, Lori and staff were there with us the weeks prior to this ordering in special food, providing us special items that we wanted for his comfort and for our own peace of mind, making suggestions even seconds before their store was closing in regards to items that we thought we needed for him, and giving us support. When he left us Lori, Ron, and their staff were there with us 2 days later when we brought our other little dog in, knowing full well that our hearts were broken and our souls grieving. We went in with our other little dog just to get him out and about because we were worried that the loss of his "brother" would be too great for him and at that point in the state of mind that we were in they probably could have sold us just about anything. Instead they paid special attention to our little one, fussed over him even, and provided us care and support that most store owners would not provide if this was just a business to them. We are forever in their debt for taking such a risk and moving such a business to such a small town and for providing old fashioned service that is difficult to find no matter where you go.
